We cut three of ours in half last term and completion went up by a third.<\/p>\n<p>A forty hour syllabus is a promise nobody can keep on a weeknight. What it actually buys is a wall: students stall around hour nine, the cohort channel goes quiet, and the course sits unfinished in an account for a year.<\/p>\n<p>We rebuilt three courses around a single deliverable each and dropped everything that did not serve it. The reading list went into an appendix.
