Editing Your Own Sentences

Editing someone else’s writing is a skill. Editing your own is a different one, and it is mostly about tolerance for loss.

Each block gives you a draft — sometimes ours, more often yours — and a target length. You cut, your mentor marks what the cut cost, and you do it again. Six rounds of that changes how you write the first draft in the first place.

Bring something you are already working on. The course works better when the stakes are real.
