Questions we answer
every week
If yours is not here, call the yard office. Somebody who rides will pick up.
With a private assessment lesson. Forty-five minutes on the lunge, no reins for the first part, and a coach who tells you honestly which group to join. Most adults are in a group within three sessions.
Long trousers without an inside seam, a boot with a small heel, and a top you can move in. We loan hats to current safety standard and boots up to a size twelve at no charge.
Fourteen stone, or ninety kilograms, on the school horses. It is a limit set by the horses, not by us, and we would rather say it plainly than at the mounting block.
Yes — full, part and grass livery are all available, subject to a box coming free. Vaccination records and a current passport are checked before arrival.
Both arenas are floodlit and one is under cover, so lessons run in almost everything. Hacks are called off for high wind or ice, and the block simply carries forward.
Four-day courses every school holiday, capped at eight riders with two coaches and a stable-management hour each morning. They open to Saddle Club members first.
