Including the two most people forget: who administers the anesthesia, and what happens if there is a complication at 2am on a Sunday.
Board certification and before-and-after galleries are the easy checks, and they are the ones every practice is ready for. The harder questions are about the parts of the day nobody photographs.
Ask who is in the room. Ask whether the surgeon operates on more than one patient at a time. Ask for the facility’s accreditation certificate and its last inspection date. Ask what the revision policy says in writing. A practice that answers all four without hesitating is telling you something.
