Hyaluronic acid placed under the eye does not always stay where it was put. Years later it sits lower, holds water, and reads as puffiness rather than volume. Patients arrive convinced they need surgery; most need dissolving and a wait.
The correction is unglamorous. We dissolve, we photograph at two weeks, and only then do we discuss whether anything needs replacing. Roughly half decide nothing does.
