On a 200 acre block the aircraft is slower per hour than a self-propelled sprayer and always will be. It wins on three things the hourly rate does not capture: no compaction, no wait for the ground to dry, and product only going where the map says it should.
Add those back and the mapped pass lands cheaper on every field we have costed where pressure was patchy. On a field that is uniformly sick, the ground rig still wins — and we will tell you so.
