Four out of five pets over three have dental disease, and almost none of them show it. A tooth that looks acceptable above the gum can be holding an abscess below it, which is why we radiograph every mouth rather than guessing.
The day runs the same way every time: bloodwork first, an individually calculated protocol, intravenous fluids and a dedicated nurse monitoring depth, blood pressure and temperature throughout. Nerve blocks mean the anaesthetic stays light and they wake up comfortable.
